This Privacy Policy explains how Svik Games (“the Game”, “we”, “us”) handles information when you play. In short: we do not run a server, we do not collect personal data, and we do not use tracking or advertising cookies. Everything the Game remembers about you stays on your own device.
Svik Games is a fully static, client-side website. There is no backend, no database, and no account system. We never receive, transmit, or store your gameplay data on any server we control.
The Game uses your browser's local storage (not tracking cookies) purely to remember your own progress on your own device. This includes:
| Data | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Best score & unlocked worlds | Remember your overall progress between visits |
| Per-world best times | Power the in-game leaderboard/best-times panel |
| Achievements earned | Track which in-game achievements you've unlocked |
| Difficulty, screen-shake & haptics settings | Remember your preferred accessibility/gameplay settings |
| Saved session slots (auto & manual) | Let you resume a run where you left off, including after closing the tab |
| Sound on/off & tutorial-seen flag | Remember basic UI preferences |
None of this data ever leaves your browser, is never sent to us or to any third party, and contains no personal information (no name, email, IP address, or device identifiers).
Svik Games does not set any tracking, advertising, or analytics cookies. The localStorage mechanism described above is a browser storage feature, not a cookie, and is not shared across websites.
The Site does not embed third-party analytics, advertising networks, or social widgets. The only outbound link is an optional link to the developer's GitHub profile in the footer, which you must click deliberately — visiting it is subject to GitHub's own privacy policy.
Because the Game collects no personal data whatsoever and requires no account, it does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children under 13.
You are always in full control of your locally stored data. You can permanently delete all of it at any time by clearing your browser's site data/local storage for this Site (usually available in your browser's settings under "Site settings" or "Privacy"), or by using private/incognito browsing.
We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally to reflect changes to the Game. The “Last updated” date above reflects the most recent revision. Since there are no accounts, we cannot notify you directly — please check back periodically.
