Terms of Service

Welcome to Svik Games (the “Game”, “we”, “us”). Svik Games is a free, browser-based platformer made available to you at this website (the “Site”). By loading, viewing, or playing the Game, you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. Use of the Game

The Game is provided for personal, non-commercial entertainment purposes. You may play the Game for free in any modern web browser. You may not:

• Copy, redistribute, sublicense, sell, or rehost the Game's code, assets, artwork, audio, or content without prior written permission from the developer.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or modify the Game in order to cheat, exploit, disrupt, or misrepresent it as your own original work.
• Use the Game or Site to transmit malware, spam, or any unlawful content.
• Attempt to interfere with the normal operation of the Site or the experience of other players.

2. Intellectual Property

All source code, game design, graphics, animations, and audio contained in Svik Games are the intellectual property of the developer, Avishkar Kedar, unless otherwise noted. All rights not expressly granted in these Terms are reserved.

3. No Account, No Server-Side Data

Svik Games does not require you to create an account and does not run any backend server. All game progress (best scores, unlocked worlds, achievements, settings, and saved sessions) is stored only in your browser's local storage, on your own device. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

4. "As Is" Availability

The Game and Site are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Game will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of bugs, and we do not guarantee that browser storage (and therefore your saved progress) will persist indefinitely — clearing your browser data, using private/incognito mode, or switching devices or browsers will reset your progress.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or any loss of data (including saved game progress), arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the Game or Site.

6. Third-Party Links

The Site may contain links to third-party sites (for example, a link to the developer's GitHub profile). We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of any third-party sites.

7. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to the Game or for legal or operational reasons. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable local laws, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, unless otherwise required by the law of your jurisdiction.
